The Binh Phuoc Provincial People’s Committee has completed a prefeasibility study for the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway project, based on opinions from relevant ministries, sectors, and localities through which the expressway passes.

According to the latest proposal, the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway will have a total length of nearly 129 km and run through the two provinces of Dak Nong (nearly 28 km) and Binh Phuoc (101 km).

Preliminary total investment for the first phase is approximately VND25.5 trillion (over $1.05 billion), of which more than VND10.5 trillion ($414 million) will come from the State budget and the remainder from the project investor.

If approved, construction would begin in 2024 and be completed in 2026.

Once open to traffic, the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway will contribute to socio-economic development in both Binh Phuoc and Dak Nong and connect the southern region with the central highlands.
