Vietnam’s exports of hardware and electronic products is expected to stand at $135 billion this year, according to the Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIC).
Revenue in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector in the first two months of the year reached over VND598 trillion ($24.4 billion), up 25 per cent year-on-year.
Exports of hardware and electronic products earned more than $20.9 billion, a year-on-year rise of 21.8 per cent and accounting for 33 per cent of the country’s total export value.
The ICT sector posted revenue of $142 billion last year, with hardware and electronic exports estimated at $127 billion, down 4.9 per cent compared to 2022.
The MoIC has set a target of ICT revenue standing at over $149.3 billion in 2024 and $157.1 billion in 2025.
