Southern Binh Duong province has announced the Green Book 2024, recognizing 35 businesses for their exemplary achievements in environmental protection.
Published every two years, the Green Book of Binh Duong honors production, business, and service establishments that excel in environmental protection.
This initiative aims to raise awareness among businesses about environmental protection, encouraging and motivating them to improve production techniques and comply with environmental regulations.
To be included in the Green Book, businesses must meet several conditions: They must have approval for the results of their environmental impact assessment report or equivalent documents as stipulated by the 2020 Environmental Protection Law. They must have implemented waste treatment projects and measures inspected and confirmed by competent authorities, and they must not have been subject to administrative penalties in environmental protection, water resources, or have complaints from the local community regarding environmental pollution.
Businesses are evaluated based on three criteria: compliance with environmental standards and industrial hygiene, adherence to environmental management procedures and related documentation, and encouraging criteria such as ISO 14001, 45001, GMP, or OHSAS 18001 certifications, environmental awards, participation in community environmental protection activities, energy-saving initiatives, and waste recycling efforts.
