57 localities connect land data with national database

A total of 57 of Vietnam’s 63 cities and provinces have connected their land database with the National Population Database, with more than 24 million plots of land, according to the latest report from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE).

The connection of land databases with the National Population Database will help people gain better access to land-related information and help State agencies manage changes in population and land area online.

It will also help remove obstacles in implementing administrative procedures relating to land.

This is part of efforts by MoNRE to implement the master plan on developing the application of population databases, e-identification, and e-authentication for national digital transformation in the 2022-2025 period with a vision to 2030.

Last month, the Prime Minister issued a directive asking relevant ministries and agencies to accelerate the implementation of the plan.

He wants the national land database to be completed in June.
