7th Italian Food Week in Vietnam gets underway

The Italian Embassy in Vietnam is presenting the 7th Italian Food Week in Vietnam from November 14-20, with the theme “Conviviality, sustainability and innovation: The ingredients of Italian cuisine for people’s health and safeguarding the planet”.

A host of events will take place in Hanoi to promote the healthiness and authenticity of Italian culinary culture and the excellence of Made in Italy agri-food.

The program was announced by Italian Ambassador to Vietnam, H.E. Antonio Alessandro, on November 14, with the participation of Chef Marco Squizzato from the Federazione Italiana Cuochi (Federation of Italian Chefs).

Among the planned events in an opening dinner, a showcase of coffee culture, a gelato festival, the Casa Italia Wine Festival, Italian Cuisine Week Expo of Italian products, A Taste of Valpolicella Wines, and A Taste of Italy, promoting Italian products.

During the Week, selected Italian restaurants in Vietnam will also present a “Special Menu” combining tradition, sustainability, and innovation. Agri-food is one of the main sectors of the nation-branding campaign entitled “Italy is simply extraordinary: beIT”.
