Export revenue of fruit and vegetable in the first eight months of the year hit $4.58 billion, representing a significant increase of 29.1% compared to the same period of 2023, according to the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association.
In August alone, exports of fruit and vegetable earned over $700 million, up 26.8% compared to the previous month and 50.8% year-on-year.
China remained the biggest export market of Vietnamese fruits in the eight-month period with export revenue of $2.93 billion, accounting for 64% of the total.
It was followed by the US and South Korea with $223.5 million and $223 million, surging 31% and 51% year-on-year, respectively.
