Vietnam exported some 210,000 tons of rubber in September, earning revenue of $270 million, an 8.5 per cent increase in volume but a 3.7 per cent decline in value year-on-year, figures from the General Department of Vietnam Customs show.
The September figure brought total rubber exports in the first nine months of the year to 1.42 million tons with revenue of $1.89 billion, up 1.6 per cent and down 17.4 per cent, respectively.
The average rubber export price in September was estimated at $1,283 per ton, 11.2 per cent less than in September last year.
China remains Vietnam’s largest export market, accounting for 99.73 per cent of the total.
Total rubber export revenue for the year as a whole is estimated at $3 billion.
Vietnam exported 2.14 million tons of rubber last year, for turnover of $3.3 billion, up 9.7 per cent in volume and 1 per cent in value compared to 2021.
