The People's Committee of the central proovince of Thua Thien - Hue has approved a zoning plan for the construction of the Ngu Ho Ecological Tourism Area in Phong Dien district.

The planned ecological and tourism site, which cover an area of 445ha, is located in the communes of Phong Chuong and Phong Binh, and expected to accommodate approximately 30,000 tourists, residents, and service staff per day.

In the future, it will be a destination for ecological tourism, experiences, golfing, and resort tourism, featuring functions such as restaurants, accommodation and resort services, combined with therapeutic services utilizing local traditional herbal remedies and the distinctive peat bog.

According to the plan, Thua Thien - Hue has identified tourism as a key economic sector, aiming to become one of the distinctive tourism centers in Southeast Asia.

It strives to be a high-quality tourism hub, a unique Festival City of Vietnam. The plan also aims to develop smart tourism based on digital transformation, and sustainable green tourism.
