Vietnam earned $56.74 billion from exporting agricultural, forestry and fishery products in the first 11 months of the year, increasing 19% compared to the same period of 2023, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
In November alone, the sector posted export revenue of $5.3 billion, up 13.9% year-on-year.
The export revenue of agricultural products in the 11-month period reached $29.78 billion, up 23.2%; fishery products $9.2 billion, up 11.8%; animal husbandry products $475.5 million, up 4.4%; and forestry products $1.69 billion, down 5.7%.
The export value to Asia reached $27.32 billion, surging 16.1%; the Americas $13.44 billion, up 23.6%; and Europe $6.41 billion, up 30.4%.
The US, China, and Japan continued to be the three largest export markets, with the US accounting for the highest proportion at 21.7%, followed by China at 21.6% and Japan at 6.6%.
