Anti-dumping investigation of exported aluminum extrusions to US initiated

According to the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the US Department of Commerce announced on October 25 the initiation of anti-dumping investigations of aluminum extrusions from eleven exporters, including Vietnam, as well as anti-dumping duty and countervailing duty investigations of aluminum extrusions from four others.

Data from US Customs reveals that aluminum extrusions imported from Vietnam in 2022 accounted for 7.6 per cent of the US’s total imports, ranking Vietnam fourth among countries and territories exporting such products to the US, behind Mexico, Colombia, and China.

Among companies listed for anti-dumping duty investigations, 14 are in Vietnam.

The alleged dumping margin determined for Vietnam was 41,84 per cent, while the margin determined for others ranged from 25.89 to 376.85 per cent.
