Asia's largest rice mill opens in An Giang

Hồng Vinh

The Hanh Phuc rice mill was opened in the presence of State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc in the Mekong Delta’s An Giang province on January 18. The largest in Asia, the mill sits on 161,000 sq m and uses European-standard technology, with a daily capacity of drying 4,800 tons of paddy, processing 1,600 tons of dry paddy, and producing 1,000 tons of completed rice. It has the advantage of being surrounded by four rice growing districts, which helps cut transportation time and costs and ensures the quality of stored rice.
