Northern Bac Giang province topped the country in terms of economic growth in the first three quarters of this year with the GRDP growth rate of 13.89%.

The industry-construction sector remained the main contributor to the province’s economic growth with 12.92 percentage points. Key growth drivers are industrial parks, focusing on FDI enterprises with major products being electronic components.  

Other economic indicators registered significant year-on-year growth, including a 24% increase in total trade value, and 16.3% rise in total retail sales of consumer goods and services. Meanwhile the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 3.25%, lower than the national rate of 3.88% in the same period. 

In the first nine months, the province welcomed 2.2 million tourists, up 45% compared to the same period last year.
