Bac Ninh City on September 25 held a groundbreaking ceremony for a social housing project situated in Residential Area No 3, Da Mai Ward.
Developed by Lam Son Construction and Trading Co., Ltd. on a site of approximately 0.7 ha, the project features a 19-story social housing apartment tower with one basement level. The total gross floor area (GFA) spans roughly 59,492 sq.m, designed to accommodate around 490 apartments ranging from 25 to 77sq.m.
The project represents a total projected investment of over VND 805.8 billion (nearly $31 million), comprising VND165 billion ($6.35 million) in developer equity alongside the remaining from bank loans and other legally mobilized capital.
Bac Ninh City is currently implementing 76 urban area projects alongside 65 social and commercial housing developments. Alongside expanding modern, green, and ecological urban zones, municipal authorities are prioritizing social housing delivery, targeting 135,000 units during the 2025–2030 period to progressively establish an affordable housing stock aligned with citizens' actual needs.
