Northern Bac Ninh province is striving to become one of leading centers of innovation, smart production, and research and development (R&D) in the region according to local authorities.

It will aim to attract investment in high-tech and semi-conductor projects, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan told a workshop on June 13 on realizing Bac Ninh’s vision of becoming a smart and high-tech industrial center.

The province posted GRDP growth of 7.39 per cent last year and export revenue of $45.1 billion, ranking its second in the country.

It ranked seventh in the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) 2022 and third in the Provincial Green Index (PGI) 2022.

Bac Ninh also placed seventh in terms of FDI attraction, with 1,908 projects and capital of $24.17 billion.
