Authorities in southern Binh Duong province held a dialogue with representatives of South Korean business in the locality on November 17, to obtain feedback and seek solutions on tackling existing difficulties and obstacles, the Binh Duong online newspaper has reported.
Representatives from South Korean businesses raised ideas about power supply for production, tax refund procedures, customs, environmental inspections, firefighting and prevention, and construction permits.
Secretary of the Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi said the province has created favorable conditions for the business community in general and for South Korean businesses in particular to conduct business, production, and trade.
He asked the Provincial People’s Committee and relevant departments to increase guidance and support for businesses to complete legal procedures and resolve pending issues.
Binh Duong ranks second in the country in terms of FDI attraction, following Ho Chi Minh City.
South Korea ranks second in project numbers in the province, with 769, and total investment capital of $3.3 billion.
In the first ten months of this year, it attracted investment totaling nearly $1.35 billion.
