Southern Binh Duong province targets to take the lead in science and technology and innovation under its master plan for the 2021-2030 periods with a vision to 2050, which has been approved by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha.

The province is envisioned to become a hub of modern industrial services, and one of the dynamic and comprehensive development centers in Southeast Asia. 

It is expected to achieve an annual average economic growth rate of 10% in the 2021-2030 period. Its GRDP per capita is projected to be nearly $15,800 by 2030, when its population is expected to reach 4.04 million.

By 2050, the province is expected to develop into a modern urban, industrial and service center at regional and international level, and one of locomotives promoting national economic growth.
