The BIFA Wood Vietnam 2023 trade fair will be held in southern Binh Duong province from August 9-12 and see the participation of 100 domestic and foreign exhibitors.
The fair will feature some 700 booths displaying advanced wood processing technologies, machinery, and raw materials, according to the organizer.
It is expected to be a venue for local and foreign businesses to meet and seek cooperation.
Several conferences will be held on the sidelines of the fair, including workshops introducing Canadian wood and the country’s market, discussing intra-regional trade promotion, and promoting access to capital for wood enterprises.
International businesses will also have the opportunity to tour some wood production and processing plants in Binh Duong and neighboring provinces.
Bing Duong is considered a center of wood processing and export of Vietnam. The province earned $6.5 billion from exporting wood and wooden products in 2022, accounting for 43 per cent of the total export value of the country’s wood industry.
The industry targets $20 billion in wood and wooden product exports by 2025.
