Vietnam's coffee exports hit $4.7 billion in 5M

Vietnam exported over 823,900 tons of coffee in the first five months of 2025, worth more than $4.7 billion, according to the Vietnam Customs.

The figures represent a year-on-year increase of 0.8% in volume and 65.7% in value.

In May alone, exported coffee totaled nearly 149,000 tons, valued at $860 million, up 60.5% in volume and nearly 2.2 times in value year-on-year.

The export prices averaged $5,709 per ton in the five-month period, surging 64.3% compared to the same period last year.

Germany is the largest importer with over 137,800 tons, worth $765.11 million, accounting for 16.7% of the total export volume and 16.3% of the total export value. It was followed by Italy with 69,643 tons, worth $371.93 million.
