Binh Phuoc to develop three inland container depots

Southern Binh Phuoc province plans to develop three Inland Container Depots (ICD) to boost imports and exports under its master planning in the 2021-2030 period, which has been approved by the government.

These include a 25-ha ICD at the Hoa Lu border gate in Loc Ninh district, a 46-ha ICD in Chon Thanh commune, and a 40-ha ICD in Dong Phu commune.

The ICDs are all located along the transport corridor between the central highlands’ Dak Nong province, Binh Phuoc province, and Ho Chi Minh City.

They will connect with both roads and railways to serve import and export activities.

The province will focus on developing and improving operational efficiency at the Hoa Lu border gate economic zone, promoting trade, e-commerce, imports and exports, logistics, and transportation.

Under its planning, Binh Phuoc will expand three existing industrial parks (IPs) and establish a new IP on a total area of 1,619 ha.

It targets posting GRDP growth of 9 per cent annually to 2030 and to become a modern and sustainable industrial locality.
