Ben Rung bridge, that connects northern Hai Phong city with neighboring Quang Ninh province, officially opened to traffic on July 17.

The bridge, spanning Da Bach river, has a total length of 1,865.3 m, with the main bridge measuring 21.5 m in width, with 4 lanes for vehicles to travel in 2 directions.

Construction of the bridge started in 2022 with a total investment capital of over VND1.94 trillion ($76.2 million).

The bridge will be the third road gateway connecting Hai Phong and Quang Ninh, and improve the socio-economic efficiency of the two most dynamic northern coastal economic zones.

The two localities are currently building another bridge connecting Thuy Nguyen district of Hai Phong with Dong Trieu commune of Quang Ninh. Its total investment capital is estimated at more than VND1.33 trillion ($52.2 million).
