The Sao Do Investment Group JSC and the CME Solar JSC signed a cooperative agreement on November 9 to implement a rooftop solar power project at the Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park (IP) in northern Hai Phong city.

This is part of Sao Do’s strategy to increase its competitiveness and develop the Nam Dinh Vu IP into a green and sustainable IP.

CME Solar will install solar panel systems on the rooftops of factories, plants, and production establishments at the IP to produce solar power for supply to those units.

Covering 1,329 ha, the Nam Dinh Vu IP has dozens of investors and its rooftop coverage reaches hundreds of thousands of square meters. It is anticipated that it will be able to produce hundreds of MW of power from the solar source.

Insiders said green development, energy transition, and reduced emissions are inexorable trends around the world, so Vietnamese businesses cannot afford to stay idle.
