The number of cargo vehicles passing through northern Lang Son province's border gates to China has increased significantly since the beginning of June.

On June 19 alone, a total of 2,005 trucks completed customs clearance at Lang Son’s border gates — the highest single-day figure ever recorded in the province, the Vietnam News Agency quoted the Dong Dang–Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone Management Board as reporting.

Of these, 634 carried exports and 1,371 imports.

The Huu Nghi International Border Gate remained the busiest, handling 985 vehicles, including 329 trucks carrying exports.

Since the beginning of this year, the total trade turnover of goods of all categories through Lang Son has exceeded $38.8 billion, surging 38% compared to the same period last year.
