The leaders of Quang Tri province have called on the investor of the Coastal Road Connecting the East-West Economic Corridor (Phase 1) project to inspect and expedite the construction process to ensure adherence to the established schedule.
They stressed the importance of concentrating manpower, equipment, and machinery to accelerate the project's progress.
Approved by the provincial People's Committee in December 2021, the Coastal Road Connecting the East-West Economic Corridor (Phase 1) project has a total investment of VND2.06 trillion (approximately $80.9 million).
The project's implementation period spans from 2021 to 2026, with construction commencing at the end of April 2022. The provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board is the project's investor.
The project includes a route of approximately 48 km, passing through the districts of Vinh Linh, Gio Linh, Trieu Phong, and the city of Dong Ha. As of now, local authorities have handed over 22.15 km of land, with the remaining sections expected to be handed over in the first quarter of 2025.
Regarding resettlement, Dong Ha city has completed resettlement for 37 affected households. Vinh Linh, Gio Linh, and Trieu Phong districts are currently constructing resettlement areas for affected households.
