Under Prime Ministerial Document No. 1112/TTg-DMDN, signed by Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai on November 18, the ownership of the Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Development One-Member Limited Liability Company will be transferred from the Ministry of Science and Technology to the Hanoi People’s Committee.
The company is exclusively owned by the State, with charter capital of VND300 billion (more than $12.4 million) and the Ministry of Science and Technology being the representative of State ownership.
Founded in 2009, the company now has ten branches and two subsidiaries. Its main business is developing infrastructure at the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park in Hanoi, investing in projects on building technical infrastructure, promoting investment, researching and transferring technological solutions, providing support and logistics services, and managing and operating the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, among others.
Under Prime Ministerial Decision No. 1168/QD-TTg, dated October 10, 2023, the Management Board of the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park was transferred from the Ministry of Science and Technology to the Hanoi People’s Committee.
Earlier, in August 2023, under a resolution from the government, the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park was transferred from the ministry to the municipal people’s committee.
The Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park has attracted 106 investment projects, covering a total area of 380 ha, with registered capital of more than VND85.6 trillion (over $3.5 billion) and $702.57 million.
Of the 106 projects, 60 are in operation, creating 14,500 jobs. In 2022, they earned revenue of VND18 trillion (more than $741 million).
