The Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) earned a revenue of over VND168.2 trillion ($6.58 billion) in 2024, according to its recent announcement.
Its total profit was estimated at VND6.23 trillion ($243 million), equivalent to 142% of the annual plan.
In December alone, the group’s revenue reached over VND17.4 trillion ($68 million).
Last year, the group produced nearly 50 million tons of coal and sold nearly 47 million tons, while generating more than 9.5 billion kWh of electricity.
The group is expected to produce 2.9 million tons of raw coal, and sell 4.3 million tons of coal in January this year. It also targets to produce 960 million kWh of electricity in the month.
