More than 150 domestic and foreign businesses are showcasing their coffee products at an exhibition held on the sidelines of the 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, which is taking place in the central highlands’ province of Dak Lak from March 10-14.
Around 200,000 people are expected to visit the exhibition, which serves as a venue for businesses to promote products, expand markets, and seek cooperation and investment opportunities.
In 2022, Vietnam exported nearly 1.8 million tons of coffee worth about $4 billion. The country has secured second place in world rankings, after only Brazil.
Vietnamese coffee is exported to more than 80 countries and territories around the world and has a global market share of 14.2 per cent.
Coffee is one of six key currency earners, with revenue of over $4 billion a year.
Major export markets for Vietnamese coffee include Europe, the US, Russia, Japan, and the UK.
