Over 40,000 positions were offered at an online job transaction session on July 25 that connected workers with 161 companies in the north of Vietnam.

The session was co-hosted by employment service centers in Hanoi, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Ninh Binh, Bac Kan, Thai Binh, Phu Tho, and Hai Phong with the aim of helping companies recover production and business through finding the necessary workers and helping workers find employment in the new circumstances.

Fields with major demand for workers include electronics manufacturing, garments and textiles,and sales and marketing.

Bac Giang had the highest demand, with 17.494 positions, followed by Thai Nguyen with 8,470, Ninh Binh with 3,701, and Phu Tho with 3,453.

Average salaries range from VND7-15 million ($295-635).
