Computers, electronics and components, the country's top export earner, recorded revenue of $36.32 billion this year, as of July 15, figures from the General Department of Vietnam Customs show.
The figure represents a significant increase of 29.11% compared to the same period last year and accounts for 17.52% of the country’s total export value.
It was followed by the group of phones and accessories with export turnover of $29.57 billion.
Key export markets of both groups include the US, China and the EU.
Last year, exports of computers, electronics and components raked in $57.32 billion and phones and accessories, $52.37 billion.
