Construction of $274 mln ring road section in Hai Phong kicks off

Construction on the initial section of the Ring Road No.2 project in northern port Hai Phong city started on March 11.

The 11-km Tan Vu-Hung Dao-Bui Vien route runs through Hai An, Duong Kinh and Kien An districts.

It has a total investment capital of more than VND7 trillion ($274.6 million).

As part of the project, a motorway section from provincial road No.353 to Hung Dao ward, a bridge crossing Lach Tray River, and a flyover crossing Bui Vien intersection will take shape.

Construction is expected for completion by 2028.

Once completed, the Ring Road No.2 project will help enhance transportation capacity, shortening the travel time from the Hai Phong port cluster to other northern localities.
