Construction of three major projects with a combined investment capital of nearly VND4 trillion ($152.6 million) was recently kicked off in Thai Binh, which has been merged with the former Hung Yen province into the new Hung Yen province as from July 1.

They include a waste-to-power project which covers 6ha, with investment capital estimated over VND1.55 trillion ($59 million), jointly invested by Dragon Ventures of Thai Binh and WangNeng Environment JSC of China. The plant is expected to be put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2026 with a capacity of treating 600 tons of waste per day and generating 15 MW of electricity.

Another project is Con Vanh Golf Course complex invested by Hoang Huy Urban and Infrastructure JSC, with an investment capital of more than VND2.1 trillion ( over $80 million). It covers nearly 110ha, with  a 27-hole golf course of international standards, a four-star hotel, 150 villas and other accommodations. Construction is expected for completion by 2028.

The other project is a port with a total area of nearly 7ha to handle LNG vessels. With an investment capital of VND278 billion ($10.6 million), the port is capable of handling vessels of 3,000 tons.
