Construction began on the Sao Mai urban area in north-central Thanh Hoa province on December 28.
Total investment is estimated at VND1 trillion ($41.6 million).
The Sao Mai Group Corporation is the project’s developer.
The urban area covers nearly 44 ha in Trieu Son district and will feature 1,313 houses, 30 villas, and 41 shophouses, with a population of over 10,000.
It is designed in line with smart city trends and includes facilities such as commercial centers, parks, schools, and cultural centers.
The project is expected to help accelerate the urbanization process in Trieu Son district and Thanh Hoa province and improve the living conditions of local people by shifting from agricultural production to trade and services activities and industrial production.
