The General Department of Vietnam Customs has issued a Decision on simplifying administrative procedures to help facilitate trade in 2023 and create conditions for import and export activities.

The sector targets cutting the time needed to complete customs clearance activities by 10 per cent. The Department said the move is important to help boost imports and exports while saving enterprises time and money.

The proportion of consignments to be sampled for testing is to come down by 20 per cent under the Decision.

Administrative procedures in customs supervision and management are to now be conducted via the national public portal.
