Da Nang international airport served 3.1 million international passengers in the first six months of the year, up 31% compared to the same period of 2023, according to the airport authorities.

The figure is equivalent to 46% of the yearly plan.

Meanwhile, the airport served 3.5 million domestic passengers, dropping 14% year-on-year.

Total volume of cargo handled by the airport was estimated at 6,500 tons.

In order to attract more foreign airlines, Da Nang airport authorities have proposed the Ministry of Transport to reduce takeoff and landing fees for foreign airlines by 50% for two years since they start conducting flights to and from Da Nang.

The International Terminal of the airport has a capacity of 4 million passengers per year.
