Construction of the 500kV Hai Phong – Thai Binh power transmission line project kicked off in northern Hung Yen province on August 17, according to a report from the Vietnam News Agency.

The 500kV Hai Phong – Thai Binh will. run from Hai Phong port city to the former province of Thai Binh, which has become part of the newly established province of Hung Yen since July 1, 2025.

The project consists of two new 500kV circuits with a total length of 38.3km.
