The international T2 passenger terminal at Da Nang International Airport in central Da Nang city was awarded Welcome Chinese certification from the China Tourism Academy (CTA) on December 11.
It was presented with a Gold Certificate, the highest in a three-tier ranking recognized by the CTA, China’s main governmental research and promotion institute under the management of the Chinese National Tourism Authority.
The award is presented in recognition of service quality received by Chinese tourists.
The T2 terminal at Da Nang is the first place in Southeast Asia to receive the certification.
It met a number of criteria, such as flight information in Chinese, free wi-fi, a website in Chinese, a free hot water dispenser, and menus in Chinese. All shops in the terminal must allow UnionPay and Wechat Pay payment methods and have tax refund counters.
Four international airports in France, Russia, Spain, and Saudi Arabia have been presented with Welcome Chinese certification.
