Da Nang amplifying its appeal in China

Central Da Nang city hopes to welcome more Chinese enterprises, especially those from Shandong province, to invest and do business in the coastal locality, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee and Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet said while co-chairing a conference promoting investment, trade, and tourism between Da Nang and Shandong in China on September 6.

The conference attracted the participation of more than 100 delegates from associations, groups, and businesses operating in various fields in Beijing, Guangzhou, Jinan, and Yantai.

“City authorities commit to further creating favorable conditions for Chinese investors, particularly those from Shandong province, to conduct investment and business activities in the locality,” Mr. Triet said.

Vice Chairman of the Shandong Provincial People’s Council Wang Yihua said the two localities should further strengthen cooperation in areas of investment, trade, hi-tech agriculture, tourism, and cultural exchanges.

A representative from the Da Nang Investment Promotion Agency (IPA Da Nang) spoke of the investment potential and opportunities in the city, highlighting its competitive advantages in attracting foreign investment thanks to its politically and economically strategic location.

According to IPA Da Nang, the city has introduced many solutions to improve living conditions and create a favorable environment for businesses and investors.

As of July, Da Nang had attracted 1,009 FDI projects with total registered capital of over $4 billion, of which 93 projects with $118 million in capital were from China.
