The People's Committee of central Da Nang city has approved in principle an investment project to develop and operate infrastructure for Functional Area No. 7 within the Da Nang Free Trade Zone.
Under the project, the designated functional zone spans 276 ha in Hoa Vang Commune, representing a total capital investment of VND3.525 trillion (approximately $136 million). The project will operate under a 70-year term commencing from the date the competent municipal authority issues the land lease decision.
The project is designated for manufacturing, logistics, digital technology, information technology, and complementary activities aligned with the master development plan for the Da Nang FTZ.
Specifically, the project will concentrate on constructing and commercially operating technical infrastructure networks while managing functional zone operations.
According to the implementation timeline, investment preparations and administrative licensing procedures are scheduled from the fourth quarter of 2026 through the fourth quarter of 2027.
Compensation, site clearance, and the handover of cleared land will take place from the first quarter of 2027 to the third quarter of 2029.
Ground leveling, infrastructure construction, and commercial commissioning are slated for execution between the fourth quarter of 2027 and the first quarter of 2032.
Notably, commercial marketing, leasing, and the solicitation of secondary investors are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2028 while infrastructure works remain under construction.
The project is also eligible for land-rental incentives under the specific pilot mechanisms and policies approved for Da Nang by the National Assembly via Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15 dated June 26, 2024, and amended under Resolution No. 259/2025/QH15 dated December 11, 2025.
