StartupBlink, a global organisation that researches and maps startup ecosystems, has released its annual Global Startup Ecosystem Index (GSEI), recognizing Da Nang city as Vietnam’s “Fastest-Growing Startup Ecosystem” for 2026, with its GSEI score increasing 154% between 2025 and 2026, the largest increase among Vietnam’s ranked urban startup ecosystems.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Toan, Director of the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Centre (DISSC), said that the award recognises the rapid development of the city’s innovation and startup ecosystem, with DISSC representing Da Nang at an online award ceremony held on September 30.
According to StartupBlink, Da Nang’s GSEI score rose 154% between the 2025 and 2026 editions, while its global ranking climbed 212 places to 554th.
The result reflects not only Da Nang’s improved ranking but also developments in its startup-support environment. The city has expanded connections between startups and investors, businesses, experts and domestic and international support organisations, while increasing networking and innovation activities.
