The Da Nang City People’s Committee has decided to establish a semiconductor and AI center for research and training (DSAC), according to the central city’s People’s Committee.
The center will carry out research and design training activities in the fields of microchips, semiconductors, and AI development.
It will also be responsible for technology transfer, international cooperation and resources mobilization, as well as linking and cooperating with domestic and foreign partners to promote research and training in integrated circuits, semiconductor design, and AI development in line with regulations.
The DSAC will be formed on the basis of reorganizing the Da Nang high-quality human resources development center at the Department of Home Affairs.
According to market researchers Technavioa, the semiconductor market in Vietnam is estimated to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.5 per cent between 2021 and 2025.
