Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha inspected the construction of the Dien Chau - Bai Vot expressway section on February 17, which is part of the Eastern North-South Expressway, and the 500kV Quang Trach - Quynh Luu electricity transmission line, the Government News has reported.

They are both key strategic infrastructure projects.

Passing through north-central Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces, the expressway section has a total length of 49.3 km and is being built in the public-private partnership (PPP) form.

It has total investment of VND11.157 trillion ($464.8 million).

Construction began in May 2021 and is scheduled for completion in May.

The Quang Trach-Quynh Luu power line is part of a 500kV Circuit-3 transmission line project spanning 519 km from the central province of Quang Binh’s Quang Trach district to the northern province of Hung Yen’s Pho Noi district.

Deputy Prime Minister Ha asked local authorities, investors, and contractors in the two projects to take measures to accelerate the construction while ensuring project quality.

He is scheduled to hold a working session with relevant ministries, agencies, and localities later on the same day to discuss solutions to tackle difficulties and obstacles to hasten project implementation.
