DIGIFEST Dong Nai 2026, held on October 31 in southern Dong Nai city, highlighted the need to shift the focus from setting strategic directions and building technological foundations to implementation and measurable outcomes.
The event was organized under the theme “Digital Transformation and Innovation: From Policy to Practice – Creating New Growth Drivers for Dong Nai”.
Dong Nai is one of Vietnam’s major industrial centres, benefiting from its strategic regional connectivity and the development of Long Thanh International Airport. These advantages offer new growth opportunities but also create demands for upgrading the local development model, improving governance capacity and strengthening economic competitiveness.
Discussions at the event focused on applying technology to address practical challenges, ranging from digital transformation at commune and ward levels to developing the digital economy and increasing value across high-tech agricultural supply chains.
Discussions indicated that Dong Nai’s biggest challenge in digital transformation is not a lack of policy direction or technology, but the ability to turn strategic goals into concrete action programmes.
This requires closer coordination among government agencies, technology companies, research institutions and the business community, alongside clearly defined priorities, implementation resources and responsibilities for each stakeholder.
