Vietnam Airlines will launch direct flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to the Indian city of Mumbai from May 20.
The national flag carrier will operate four flights a week on the Hanoi-Mumbai route, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and three flights on the Ho Chi Minh City-Mumbai route on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Mumbai is the second-most populous city in India, after the capital New Delhi.
Vietnam Airlines launched its first direct flights between Vietnam and New Delhi last June.
India has become one of the leading trade partners of Vietnam, especially in tourism.
More than 109,000 Indians visited Vietnam in the first eleven months of 2022.
