The Mekong Delta’s Dong Thap province has set up a taskforce to address the difficulties and obstacles facing businesses and investors.
Led by Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee Pham Thien Nghia, the taskforce will also focus on simplifying administrative procedures to speed up project implementation in the province, especially large-scale projects.
Members of the taskforce will periodically review the implementation of investment projects and report to local authorities for consideration and direction.
There are over 5,000 enterprises currently operating in Dong Thap.
In the first half of this year it granted investment licenses to ten new projects with total investment of over VND6.3 trillion ($264 million), including three FDI projects.
