Entire Dien Chau - Bai Vot expressway opens to traffic

This marking the completion of the 11 sub-projects of the North-South Expressway (first phase) with a total length of nearly 653 km.

A ceremony was held in central Ha Tinh province on June 30 to officially open the expressway.

The final section of the Dien Chau - Bai Vot expressway was open to traffic on June 30, marking the completion of the 11 sub-projects of the first phase of the eastern North-South Expressway with a total length of 652.86 km.

The section is 19 km, running through central Ha Tinh province.  

The Dien Chau – Bai Vot expressway has a total length of 49.3 km and was built in the public-private partnership (PPP) form.

It had total investment capital of VND11.157 trillion ($464.8 million).

Construction began in May 2021.

The first 30-km section of the expressway was put into operation from April 30 this year.

The expressway helps to shorten the travelling time between Hanoi and central Nghe An province by approximately 1.5 hours.
