More than 450 products in five main sectors - cosmetics, food, kitchenware, electronics, and fashion - are on display at an exhibition designed to help consumers distinguish between genuine and counterfeit goods.

Featured brands originate from Germany, the US, Japan, South Korea, China, and Vietnam, including Daiichi Sankyo skincare products and Innisfree and Laneige cosmetics from South Korea.

To commemorate Anti-Counterfeit Goods Day on November 29, the Vietnam Directorate of Market Surveillance is hosting an open exhibition entitled “Understanding Genuine Goods - Avoiding Counterfeits” from November 22 to 29 at 62 Trang Tien Street in Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi.

This is the 14th year the exhibition has been open to the public, offering information and guidance on identifying genuine and counterfeit goods in high-demand product categories. The aim is to empower consumers with the knowledge to protect themselves and their families.

Additional products on display include YKK zippers; ASICS shoes; HUMAN MADE and Uniqlo clothing; Honda helmets and motor oil from Japan; Zwilling kitchen knives, chopsticks, spoons, and forks from Germany; and Vietnamese bird’s nest items.

Most of the displayed products feature the genuine item and the counterfeit counterpart, allowing for easy comparison and identification. This helps equip consumers with the knowledge to make informed purchasing decisions and avoid unsafe or low-quality products.
