The Vietnam International Electronics & Smart Appliances Expo 2023 (IEAE Hanoi) is expected to gather over 200 exhibitors from Vietnam and China in the capital from November 2-4.
Jointly organized by the Vietnam National Trade Fair & Advertising Company (Vinexad) and Chaoyu Expo from China, IEAE Hanoi is a large-scale specialized exhibition featuring tens of thousands of products in four key fields: electrical and household electronic appliances; smart devices; computers, phones, accessories, and games equipment; and electronic components and other products.
According to Vinexad, IEAE Hanoi is a “technology fest” for the electronics market in Vietnam and Southeast Asia in general.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Director General of the Asia-Africa Market Department at the Ministry of Industry and Trade To Ngoc Son said Industry 4.0 is developing extensively, impacting the global manufacturing industry as a whole and creating opportunities for various sectors and fields, including the application of electronic products and smart devices to enhance the quality of modern life.
“Rapid economic development and urbanization and people’s higher living standards make Vietnam a market of potential for electronic products,” he said.
Vietnam spent about $105 billion importing phones, computers, electronic products, and electrical household appliances and components in 2022, up 6.2 per cent against 2021, in which imports of Chinese products stood at over $33 billion.
