Vietnam earned $28.04 billion from exporting agro-forestry-fishery products in the first five months of 2025, jumping 15.1% year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
Of the total, agricultural products accounted for $15.29 billion, up 16.3% year-on-year, livestock products $217.2 million, up 11.7%; aquatic products $4.11 billion, surging 15.1%; and forestry products $ 7.48 billion, rising 11.7%.
Many products recorded high growth in export value, including coffee with export revenue of $4.79 billion, skyrocketing 65.1% year-on-year; cashew nuts $1.8 billion, up 14.2%; pepper $684.4 million, increasing 39.2%; and rubber $1.02 billion, up 18.2%.
Geographically, Asia continues to dominate Vietnam’s agricultural export landscape, accounting for 42%, followed by the Americas and Europe with 23% and 16.1%.
In terms of markets, the US remained the largest importer of Vietnamese agro-forestry and fishery products, accounting for 20.5%. It was followed by China and Japan.
