National Assembly deputies voted to approve the resolution on June 28.

The 15th National Assembly on June 28 approved the investment policy for the projected Gia Nghia-Chon Thanh expressway.

The projected expressway has a total length of nearly 129 km from Gia Nghia in Central Highlands’ Dak Nong province to Chon Thanh in southern Binh Phuoc province.

 It will be built in the public-private partnership (PPP) form with estimated investment of nearly VND25.54 trillion (over $1 billion).

Some VND10.53 trillion ($413 million) will be earmarked from the State budget and VND2.23 trillion ($87.6 million) from provincial budgets. The remainder will be mobilized from investors.

The project is scheduled to be implemented from 2024 to 2026 and put into operation in 2027.
