The Ministry of Transport (MoT) and the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee in the central highlands are completing procedures to soon approve the feasibility study for the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong Expressway project.
The expressway will pass through Lam Dong and southern Dong Nai province and is expected to help ease congestion on National Highway No. 20.
In a document sent to voters in Dong Nai province answering questions about project progress, the MoT said it is being implemented in line with the approved investment policy.
The expressway has a total length of 201 km and will be conducted in the public-private partnership (PPP) form.
It consists of three component projects, including the Dau Giay - Tan Phu section, at 60 km long, the Tan Phu - Bao Loc section, at 67 km, and the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong section, at 74 km.
Construction of the Dau Giay - Tan Phu section is estimated to cost over VND8.3 trillion ($345 million), the Tan Phu - Bao Loc section VND17.2 trillion ($716 million), and the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong section over VND19.5 trillion ($813 million).
