First Vietnam-US economic dialogue held in Washington D.C.

The first Vietnam-US Economic Dialogue was held in Washington D.C. on June 25 where the two sides discussed measures to boost bilateral partnership in key areas, the Government News has reported.

It was co-chaired by Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung and US Under Secretary of State Jose Fernandez .

The key areas of cooperation include semiconductor technology ecosystem building; energy and key minerals; business environment; high quality investment attraction, strategic export control; and key information technology infrastructure and network security.

The dialogue was held as part of Minister Dung’s working trip to the US.

The two sides agreed to hold the second Vietnam-US Economic Dialogue in Hanoi in 2025.
